NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic was announced, we had record-breaking tourist numbers every month.
