NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. נווה פריצקי Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and anticipate an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.

Canada is not far behind the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in visitors in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how tourism in Canada is recovering." "We are not too far away from our record 2019 and we are anticipating that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling abroad."



Israel received more tourists from all over the world during 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening for all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has received over 600,400 US travelers since then.
