We've seen some Minecraft builds inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Reddit, though the latest may be our favourite. Both games can be played like sticks and diamonds. At least, it appears to be the case if you check out what the Minecraft building community is up to on the subreddit often. fakeroot fakeroot

Reddit user, lg_cuber began by posting an Temple of Time build on the subreddit. It turns out, however that this doesn't represent an iota of what they're planning to do. The temple is certainly impressive, but they are actually creating all of Zelda's Breath of the Wild in Minecraft.

In terms of the scale, the creator explains that recreating the game to a 1:1 scale could result in poor old Steve feeling too small. So, it's going to be close to that scale however in a manner that feels more natural in Minecraft. They're using a mod named WorldEdit to copy and paste certain areas, and even fill areas with blocks. WorldEdit can also be used to rotate entire buildings which is very useful. They also utilize WorldPainter. (Don't be concerned about how long this would take if you were to try it brick by brick.)

Another participant chose not to make the map public after they were concerned about it being considered a copyright violation. LG_cuber isn't frightened by this and plans to make the map available for download when it's completed.

In other news, Minecraft's initial 1.19 snapshot is now available and we've received some lovely mangrove builds as the result. We don't have an official Minecraft 1.19 release date just yet, but we do have a useful link you can click to learn more about it.
