An easy method I've discovered to let my mates connect to my Minecraft server, which is running by myself machine is to use a free software called ngrok to expose my server to the internet. BEST MINECRAFT SERVERS



1) Obtain ngrok from http://www.ngrok.com. You'll need to signup for a free account as properly, and observe their setup directions.



2) Begin your Minecraft server



3) To share your native Minecraft server, run the following in a terminal:



4) This will show some information, with a line like the next:



Write down the quantity that is the place the XXXXX is above.



5) Your server is now accessible on the internet! But how do your mates connect to it?



6) Inform your mates to start Minecraft, then



- click "Multiplayer"- click "Direct Join"Fill in the following, replacing XXXXX the number you wrote down in step 4)



ngrok.com:XXXXX



7) They need to now be linked to your Minecraft server!



TROUBLESHOOTING: Word - if it does not work, then instead of "Direct Join", add it as a server by choosing "Add Server", then provide ngrok.com:XXXXX. Then just hook up with the server that approach as an alternative!
