To me, this smells precisely like clear bed sheets - and when you consider that it prices £50+ for a bottle of these things, I expected something far more interesting. My first impressions was that it did not smell like a Dior fragrance, smelled type of like Montblanc Legend and smelled so typical of different fragrances I don't really like. For almost all other Dior fragrances , I've often smelled the fragrance and favored it (or not - don't love Fahrenheit), and with out wearing samples just bought a bottle. Someone stated that the scent was gone in an hour, however this scent wants very heat skin.
I own many niche and lots of designers and it is a nice designer. Everything is "civilized" and nothing ventures outside the trademark clichés. However Sauvage manages to do something distinctive and instill some heart in this genre (the factor that’s most emphatically absent from these scents) without changing into crude. I don’t doubt that it will appeal to individuals but not exactly an ideal example of what perfumery really is, as perhaps its name and father would make one assume. Got round to sampling this right now, my first impressions usually are not nice.
Sunburned, and nonetheless smelling from the sand, ocean, and suntan lotion, it is magical, and an excellent perfume. I for one am glad of all of the haters right here, it'll go away me with a wonderful fragrance.
6 hours later, I can nonetheless smell it. Spritzed some on after I showered and went to mattress, and there is a good path of it left on my skin.
