We're sharing all the technical aspects, design tips, and upload requirements you need to make a Minecraft server icon with ease without comprising creativity. All you need to prepare for the tutorial is a browser to access a free online editor and a reliable device to complete each step.

1. Find an image for your Minecraft server icon 2. Upload image to the PNG Maker 3. Edit Minecraft server icon 4. Export and upload to Minecraft Server Step One: Find an Image for Your Minecraft Server Icon

Let's begin the tutorial by finding an image for the Minecraft server icon. A few ideas to consider are initials representing the server name, custom logos to establish a unique identity, creative symbols, and game characters. You can use Pinterest and Google to browse existing server icons for more inspiration. Here are some examples.

Step 2: Upload your image to the PNG Creator

Open your browser and visit the PNG Maker by Kapwing to begin creating your Minecraft server icon. All server icons must be 64 x 64 pixels and have a PNG extension. This tool is free and supports both requirements. The PNG Maker is available for use on any device including a mobile phone, tablet, and computer.

You have several options for opening the editor from here. To open the editor, you have three options: click or tap the get started button, upload a document from the file browser, or copy and paste an image URL. This option is great if you already have a saved image.

To find the perfect image, click the get started button. Next, use the Plugins tool. Pixabay also offers vectors and illustrations by talented creators. These are perfect for server icons. To get results, enter a keyword in the search box. Below is an example what you can expect with the Pixabay plug-in.

Step Three: Edit Minecraft Server Icon

Click Custom under Output Size to resize the canvas to the ideal dimensions for a server icon. Type 64 in each space. To save the changes, click Done.

Click or tap the eraser to open the remove background tool. This will convert your image into a PNG, and make the background transparent. You can adjust your eraser size or use magic wand tools to quickly select and isolate background from icon. To make precise edits you can zoom in and out. Is minecraft still a thing

Click the Transparent icon under Background Color to make your image transparent.

Now that we have completed the design specifications, it is time to customize the server icon. You can use the Elements tool to browse shapes and emojis and use the image search tool to find overlays, graphics, and borders. Drag the ends of the element to adjust its size and position it on the canvas.

If you wish to have a different look, you can use our adjust tool. Click on the image and click Adjust. Drag the circle left to right to change the setting's intensity. You can also click Filters, which will give you the option to choose between 17 options. To see a preview of a filter, click the button.

Here's a before-and-after of the server icon after using adjust.

Step Four: Export and Upload to Minecraft Server

Check your icon, then click on the Export Image button at top of the PNG maker. This will allow you to start processing the project.

When it's finished processing, change the file name to 'server-icon.' This file name is required to upload the icon to your Minecraft server, then click Download to save it to your device. To remove the watermark completely, you can sign in using an email address. After that, you will have a workspace where you can store and modify content for up to 2 days.

Open your server files and drag and drop the file from your desktop or download folder into the root directory of your Minecraft server. Launch and refresh your Minecraft server and your new icon should appear for all to view!
