Horror Movie : What's The Good One Look Like?
Some people loves to watch horror movies and many amongst them enjoys horror movies in various fashion and the people who don't like horror may be because of you will be very scared after watching it and have trouble sleeping. I'm also the one who always have difficulty sleeping after watch a horror film but still love to view them (must be a good one). I am writing this article about what a good horror movie should be like. I have to tell that I am not a horror movie critic specialist but I have seen almost ten thousand of horror film, so here is the guideline based on my opinion.
Ghost is the legend of terror movie, do not separate them.
I believe that this is the very first rule of thumb. There are many style of horror movie that made from different storyline stories. A good deal of horror movie producer may attempt to generate many style of film, sometime they do not have ghost in their movie. If they miss this rules you can understand just what is going to happened throughout the movie and this is kind of boring. But should they've ghosts in the movie watcher will constantly have questions regarding the movie and this is the crucial point to judge whether the movie success or fail.
Simplicity is your king.
I've observed lots of horror film attempt to create the narrative plot to be quite mysterious and complicated by use lots of characters and tricks. I'd love to tell you that the selling point and chief objective of horror film is to make people fun by being terrified to not get down them deep to very complex quiz. So the good horror movie should stick with that rule and should focus on special effects and storyline of narrative.
Some films has nothing but merely bloodbath scene, full of guts spread around, vomiting and tons of decapitation. Wait wait wait, don't be confused. If you think that these thing will make you feel terrified, you're entirely wrong. These damn scenes don't create fear, they do generate disgust. If you are searching for a good horror to make you feel fear and frighten, ensure you do not opt for the film that's loads of these disgusting scene.
The mystery of costume.
This is quite difficult and not sensible to describe and you may think that it might not important.
It may a bit hard for you to know which movie you that style of costume for personalities, but one thing is for certain that using gaudy and dirty ragged costume, especially for ghosts might help on inspire anxiety but should not be overwhelm by them.
